This talk will focus on the diversity of bumble bees in Connecticut (there are 16 species documented). with the goal of teaching participants how to visually separate the common species from the rare and declining species.
Tracy Zarrillo is a wild bee scientist in the Department of Entomology a the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. Tracy has expertise in native bee taxonomy, native bee monitoring and survey techniques, and pollinator conservation.
