Michael has an international reputation for his specialty in composting and climate change. He led a team that invented municipal recycling (the blue plastic tubs), and has stayed on the national and international forefront with municipal recycling and cyclical economies. He was coauthor of a UN Report on the topic. His work in preparing towns and cities for climate change was highlighted by the Obama administration, and Antioch was awarded recognition as one of the 25 centers of excellence for climate research. He’s very strategic in approaching municipal challenges and has his finger on the pulse of these issues.
