Norfolk Hub Talks presents Breaking Free from Plastics by environmental lecturer and author Sasha Adkins

Did you miss this webinar? If so, click HERE to watch.

Join environmental lecturer and author Sasha Adkins in a discussion on how a truly zero-waste lifestyle calls for us to re-examine our relationships, particularly our responsibilities to the workers who manufacture plastics and those who handle our waste. In this webinar, Sasha will answer questions such as what does it mean to be plastic free? Is it possible? How would you go about it, and why?

Alesia Maltz, who introduced our speaker Sasha Adkins, was incorrectly identified as a member of the Norfolk Conservation Commission. Alesia is actually a member of the UCC Green Group and the head of the Social Justice Committee at UCC Norfolk. The UCC Green Group was responsible for bringing Sasha in to present this webinar and we are grateful to the UCC Green Group for their interest in highlighting this important topic. Apologies for the mistake.

To continue the conversation The UCC Green Group is sponsoring a discussion, "Tips for going Plastics Free" on Thurs, July 22 from 5 - 6pm. They will share ideas that are working for them. Please Zoom in at https://antioch.zoom.us/j/97597174443
